State of UK\/Switzerland relationship in the Brexit chaos: a practical approach<\/em><\/p>\n

As the United Kingdom is about to see a new Prime Minister taking office and the outlines of how it will leave the European Union are still not sketched, the fateful date of October 31, 2019 is fast approaching.<\/p>\n

In this context, Switzerland is preparing the ground for the post-Brexit era. Agreements have been signed between the two countries; they cover citizens’ rights, trade, insurance, road transport and air traffic topics. These agreements provide for a transitional regime and the consequences of leaving the EU in a \u2018no deal\u2019 scenario.<\/p>\n

Through my presentation, I will address broadly the topics covered by the agreements concluded between Switzerland and the United Kingdom and their practical consequences (residency, employment) for nationals of both countries.<\/p>\n
