The APCAV (Association Chalet and Apartment Owners in Verbier) General Assembly of the took place on December 28th at 4 pm in the Salle de la Comba in Verbier, with more than one hundred and fifty more people present, from some fifteen nationalities.
The statutory agenda was dealt with promptly and, by a large majority, the agenda items were adopted (Report of the Committee, Accounts for the 2016/17 Financial Year, Budget 2017/18).
The entire current committee was re-elected, including the two Vice-Presidents, Lotta Treschow and Nicolas Leuba. Brigitte Borel was re-elected as President.
At the end of the statutory part of the meeting, Eloi Rossier, President of the municipality of Bagnes, gave information on developments in Verbier and the region. In particular, he briefed the assembly on renovation of the sports center, the Curala project in Le Châble, the redevelopment of the Place Centrale and the future underground car park to be built under the existing Hermitage car park Hermitage, which will become a green zone.
Jean-Baptiste Vaudan, Vice-President of the municipality of Bagnes, presented the new regulation on garbage sorting and white garbage bags, which entered into force on January 1, 2018.
Laurent Vaucher, the new Chief Executive Officer of Téléverbier SA, then introduced himself and briefly mentioned the current topics for Téléverbier SA, in particular the future of the Savoleyres cable car.
Finally, Joël Sciboz, Director of the Office of Tourism, presented the Office’s program for the winter season, including the VIP Pass and its planned evolutions.
Brigitte Borel informed the assembly that 2018 will be the 50th anniversary of APCAV and that the APCAV committee is already working to organize a celebration during the summer with a festive general assembly.
