INVITATION Noël Hémon exhibition “Valais Alps”

Opening, exhibition, Saturday February 8, 2020, from 6 p.m

The artist wanted to highlight these magnificent Valais peaks that he climbed:  Grand Combin, Matterhorn, Dent Blanche, Pollux, Weisshorn are reinterpreted through screen printing to represent with force and modernity a background and the masses composing the mountain.

The second technique presented in this exhibition uses solid oil to highlight the high peaks through this display of bright colors, going from the coolest blue-green to the warmest red-orange. Come to the mid-exhibition opening to discover this rich work or at any time of your choice!

Biography

A native of France, Noël Hémon has been living in the Lausanne region for over 10 years. He trained in fine arts in Montreal and has painted for more than 20 years and had dozens of exhibitions, the first in 2004 when all of his paintings were sold. Depicting changing light, magical moments, he restores them as they are, with brilliance and subtlety. He explores many techniques: drawing, oil and dry pastel, sculpture, charcoal, etching, drypoint, stained glass, screen printing, .In Spring 2019 he immersed himself for several weeks with the Aborigines in Australia. He preparing another immersion in 2020. A globetrotter, he has met many artists around the world and visited many museums and collections. Noël is a mountain lover and is an avid mountain climber.  He loves Lake Geneva where he sails and which he paints regularly. He is a father of three. His workshop is in Ouchy where he offers workshops to share his passion and his know-how.
