A look back at the APCAV event at Les Elfes

To round off the winter season, we were delighted to offer our members an ‘APCAV Apéritif’ on the theme of ‘How to stay open 10 months of the year’ on 20 April. The event took place at the home of Elfes International, who presented their perspective and their company, with contributions from Alexandra Stettler, CEO, Carlotta Ceruti, Head of Marketing, and Marie-Christine Dorsaz, Assistant Director.

One of the largest companies in the region, Elfes International employs 40 people year-round and up to 120 in high season. Set up by Philippe Stettler in 1987, the company is now run by his daughter Alexandra. Les Elfes is already open 10 months out of 12, offering camps for children aged 6 to 17. Nearly 10,000 children come to the Elfes every year. Families often accompany them, rent accommodation or book a hotel, and take advantage of the resort’s activities.

Simon Wiget, Director of Verbier Tourism, also took the floor and presented the Verbier Master Plan strategy, which includes the objective of remaining open 10 months a year and becoming a benchmark resort for sustainable, 4-season tourism.

As Vice-Chairman of the APCAV, Nicolas Leuba spoke on behalf of the APCAV and provided a link between the speeches and questions.

Afterwards, discussions continued over an aperitif hosted by Elfes International. We would like to thank them for their generosity and hospitality.
